My super heroine

Hello!

This is my last day I write here, because I leave tomorrow. And today I have to tell you something about my own heroine. I created her, so I like it!

Her name is Super Woman. She is wearing a green dress and red boots. She's got a long brown hair. Super Woman is tall and slim.

She has got special power, like flying or disappear. Her worse enemy is Dr. Potion because he was got the skill to seize her best powers.

Joseph Mallord William Turner (23 April 1775 – 19 December 1851) was an English painter whose style can be said to have laid the foundation for Impressionism*. Turner was considered as a great painter.
Turner was born in London . His father, William Gay Turner was a barber and wig maker. His mother, Mary Marshall, became increasingly mentally unstable, perhaps, in part, due to the early death of Turner's younger sister, Helen Turner, in 1786.

*Characteristics of Impressionist painting include visible brush strokes, open composition, emphasis on light in its changing qualities (often accentuating the effects of the passage of time), ordinary subject matter, the inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience, and unusual visual angles.

Fishermen at sea:
This is a painting made by oil. The scene takes places in the sea at night. In the middle of a storm we can see two boats illuminated by the half moon hidden by the dark clouds of the sky.

My last weekend

My favourite part of the weekend was Saturday day. We went on excursion to London all the day.

In the morning we went to Madame Tussauds Museum. I enjoyed it so much. I took a lot of photos with the most popular celebrities. After that, we had lunch next to a park, and then we had time to go shopping. But we had only 2h and 30 min., so I hadn't enough time. I only bought a pair of sandals, so I was a bit upset.

Then, at 20:30 the disco started. We danced all the time and had some drinks.

That day was really amazing. Because I did things I like.

Thursday excursion

Hello!

Today is Friday, the end of the week!! Yesterday, we went to London, to another tour around the city. In that day, the guide was the same man as the last Thursday, so we knew him.

We left school at 9:30 and in the bus I met with some Spanish people. The journey was nice because we talked all the time and listened to music. Some people slept and other students took some photos of them.

We arrived in London near the Tower and we met the guide there. The sky was very cloudy so we wore raincoats. He taught us a lot of interesting things about the big fire in London (1666) and the plagues. While he was talking, we had to answer a questionnaire with 15 questions. It was easy because the guide helped us. We took a lot of photos in some difference places. The tour finished near the HMS Belfast. We had lunch at 12:00 approximately. And at 1:00 we went to visit the big military ship. It was so fantastic! While we were visiting it inside,we could see a lot of statues which looked real. Sometimes I was a bit frightened :S

But the tour inside the HMS Belfast was very good. I enjoyed it very much!

Tomorrow we are going to London another time but only for shopping!! So I think I will have a very good time =)

First weekend in Queenswood

The weekend started on Friday evening. We had an assembly where some students won a prize for being good in classes and after that we saw two horror dramas. They were very good and the students who played too.
When the assembly finished, I watched the film Pretty Woman with my friends. But we went out before the film finished.
On Saturday we went to Cambridge. There we had 3 hours to do whatever we wanted. I went shopping with other girls and we had lunch in Mc Donalds. The weather was good because it wasn't rain.
When we arrived at school, we had dinner and at 8 o'clock the disco started. We danced a lot with other students but the night was cold. Many girls was wearing dresses and heels. It finished at eleven o'clock and then we went to our rooms.
The next day, on Sunday, some children went to Thorpe Park, but I didn't go. I stayed with my friend there and in the morning we played softball. I didn't know how to play but now I know more or less. When the activity finished, we were so tired because we ran, moved and it was sunny and warm.
After the lunch, we played tennis and in the evening we did

Arts&Crafts. But not very time because we learned T (a teacher) to sing Spanish songs.
And today is Monday, so we are in class =(. But I thought that the weekend was good so I like it and I am waiting for the next break!

First week here!

Hello!
Today is Friday, the last day with classes! :) And tomorrow we are going to Cambridge and I will buy a lot of things.
Yesterday we went to London and we had a tour of the "terrible places" from London's history. The weather was good and it didn't rain. I like this day trip because I learned things I didn't know.
On Tuesday we could choose to go to the cinema or bowling. I chose bowling because I think it's more entertaining. We had a very good time and after we finished the game we bought an ice-cream or a burger.

Until now, I am having a very fantastic time in Queenswood. And I hope it will last a long time.

I'm Paloma and I am 15 years old.
Im a spanish girl and I'm having a great holidays here, in Queenswood. The people are very friendly and the teachers too. Tomorrow we are going to the Tower of London. I hope it will be fun and interesting.
And on Saturday we will go shopping all the day.

Every day we have classes in the morning and in the afternoon to. They are amazing and interesting, because I learn a lot of english. I speak with other students from differents nacionalities; like germans, italians, turkish or russian people.

The food here isn't very good and the weather isn't too. Here rains every day and we have to wear warm clothes because of the weather.

That's all. I will tell more of my feeling tomorrow.
